Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.
Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Horrible
Jdub2019 12/4/2019
After running the self-cleaning cycle, oven would not heat. After a certified Technician came out to fix it, only the broil element heats. The bottom bake element still does not heat. The convection fan rattles. Oven does not hold temperature while baking. Temperature occasionally drops by 10+ degrees, at which point the oven beeps and switches from baking to pre-heating.

Love this oven!
GEE1 11/25/2019
Oven installed 2weeks ago. It has convection selections as well as regular options. The heating element is hidden so it is easier to quickly wipe up spills with a damp cloth. Takes a bit longer to preheat than my old oven but just get it started a few minutes earlier when planning your meal. Turkey roasted beautifully!

Incredible Oven
Clay513 10/29/2019
We moved into a new (for us) home that was built in 1962. Unfortunately it had its original appliances. We bought five new Kitchenaid appliances to replace the old ones. This oven was one of them. I cannot tell you how well it works. You can cook conventionally and using it as a convection oven. That saves about a third of the normal cook time. I'd recommend this model to anyone looking for a good wall oven. By the way, the oven we got had to fit into a 24" wide space, so this one was a special order.

Nice Oven
judeluke2000 9/19/2019
The oven cam without a plug wired to it. I had to install a plug to plug it into the already existing socket. I just bought the parts from a hardware store. The oven was easy to plug in and install, just be sure to follow the few directions. The oven works very well. Our previous oven was old and didn't cook food evenly. This oven cooks food very evenly without a need for rotating the food. The console works well, the color is attractive and we are happy with the purchase. This is our first KitchenAid appliance and if this oven keeps working well, we will purchase more KitchenAid products in the future.

Spacious for 24"
Ed5487 8/20/2019
I was pleasantly surprised to find that this 24" oven nicely accommodates all of my baking pans and cookie sheets. This is in stark contrast to my prior oven (GE 24") which had a substantially smaller interior. I like that the oven has 3 racks and is easy to program. I wish the timer was a little louder- sometimes I don't hear it over other noises in the kitchen. I appreciate that the oven has a proof function. I am disappointed that it doesn't have other functions such as dehydrate or slow cook. The design is a little too industrial for me. I would like to see Kitchen Aid soften up the angles a little bit and add a European flair to their design elements to make the oven more visually appealing. I was greatly disappointed to not find a more substantial book included with this oven for using the product. It would have been nice to find a book with recipes that have been tested in this oven. Instead I found a scanty couple-of-pages Instruction handout with very basic and limited information.

Loud fan
Ambivalent 8/16/2019
This oven replaces a KitchenAid we had for 31 years. I expect to love it, but I am put off by the loudness of the fan. Not the convection fan, but the one that runs when the oven is on. It is quite irritating. I do not know if this would have been a deal breaker had I know it before we bought the oven. I would recommend to a friend only after letting them hear it.

Knotaboyscout 6/3/2019
This oven fit exactly in the hole left by my 1969 Thermador Wall Oven, and what an improvement. Just a fantastic improvement. Bright inside, even heat, fast warm up, great convection. I really do not see how it could get much better than this unless it prepared the meal as well... lol

Almost there 'but not quite
larry4545 5/27/2019
This oven has more features than I was expecting. It cook very well and the broiler was a suprise with veriable tempature settings. The part that I am dissapointed with was that it wasn't constructed as nice as the full size ovens. The racks don't slide in and out as easy and it will not fit a full size sheet pan the way my old Kitchen Aid did. Also it takes about 20 miutes to heat up to temp. If I had known this I would have shopped around before going to this trusted brand. I would recommend this product but there might be something out their that might come close to this for a lot less money.

HANDLE IS BEAUTIFUL FEATURE "BAR" NONE!
Wrenette 5/22/2019
After 25 years the Whirlpool clunked out, decided to step up to a convection oven! So far I've noticed remarked improvement in my "old" brownie recipe - and a favorite baked crispy eggplant as food is more moist inside. The three racks have come in handy - The only question I have is what to put down on the floor of the oven - aluminum foil and heat resist mats are "no no" s. Very handsome oven. Heat seems very responsive and relatively short pre-heat. Thrilled!

I love this as my second oven!
I Cook for 6 5/13/2019
I've had this oven for years without any problems. I had an old model in our original kitchen, then when we remolded I bought it again in the newer model. I just bought a third one for a summer home we are building. It is the perfect size to have as a second oven. Our main oven is a 36" Wolf range, and I wanted a second oven that was smaller but not useless. This oven still holds a full half-sheet jelly roll pan or even a turkey. It heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and I've never had any problems with it. In fact, I prefer cooking with this oven over my Wolf--it gets used twenty times more than my main Wolf oven. I have never used the self-cleaning mode since I've heard that using self-cleaning is bad for ANY oven.

Worked well until first self-cleaning
Chad A 5/12/2019
Had this model for around 3.5yrs (purchased in Sept 2015) and worked well. Small complaint with the fan running a bit loudly for 30-60min after we used it but was willing to overlook that. We keep it clean and only use a moderate amount of the time but it had a little build up so we decided to run the short self-clean mode for the first time. It's now apparently "dead" according to one technician. We tried all of the trouble shooting advice offered. It's not the fuse or anything electrical outside of the unit itself. The limited warranty after 3+ yrs doesn't cover it apparently either. We have all KitchenAid appliances in our kitchen today, but I doubt it will stay that way once we start replacing the rest of the appliances.

Learning curve
OSUGrandma 5/9/2019
My old oven stopped working just before Easter and our local appliance dealer efficiently ordered and replaced it. I am adjusting to the convection baking / roasting but not without a learning curve. Cakes, brownies and nut breads have been a challenge to find the temperature and baking time that works. Roasting chicken and baking chicken breasts has been satisfactory, meatloaf did well, baking a partially frozen mac and cheese casserole did okay, but I do not have results similar to my non-convection oven. I overbaked potatoes and other dishes. I have tried lowering the temperature 25 degrees, checking at 25 and 30% less baking time, and baking the full amount of time with varying success. I'm aware some ovens automatically heat the internal oven temperature to 325 when the oven is set to 350. That didn't work. I've used a manual oven thermometer to verify temperature. So I have a "learning curve" before I can give it a 5 star rating. I am pleased with the styling, timing features and touch controls. Stainless steel cleaning clothes work well on the surface. Cleaning up the oven after roasting the chicken was challenging, not all the grease splatters came off even with a stainless steel scrubber. As far as recommending the oven, I would say get the double oven if space permits.

Functional but noisy Convection oven
David and Jeanne 5/3/2019
We've had the wall oven for 3 months now, and it works flawlessly. Our only complaint is the noisiness of the fan, even after turning the oven off, the fan stays on for up to an hour until it cools off. And even in non-convection baking, the fan runs. There is no information about this in the manual. Perhaps our bigger complaint is that the owners manual is lacking in all but the most basic operating instructions. For that and the noise I only give it a 3.

bakes beautiful cakes
Pearlina 5/2/2019
I've used this oven about one month now, and have been very happy with it. Not only does it look great (professional, sleek!), it bakes very evenly and my cakes haven't even had to be rotated. I have found actual baking times to be shorter than recommended baking times, (even without the convection mode on) which has been a bonus, but it bears mentioning...when you smell it, check it! We haven't used the "baking stone" yet, but are looking forward to it.

Is it really self-cleaning
Gatorchef 2/20/2019
On my first attempt of self cleaning the oven had both fuse sets blow and the coiling fan becoming inoperative. It took three weeks to get use of oven back due to waiting for parts.I have since been afraid to use self cleaning feature. Any issue is the delay cooking function. On the old oven one enter the time you wanted the oven to start. On this oven you have to calculate how much time you want the oven to delay starting. Old version much more straightforward. Also old oven had separate buttons for the convection functions. This oven only has one button and then multiple steps to follow. Old oven easier.

Beautifully made product
Lucius 2/8/2019
There is an exhaust fan that stays on for a period when the oven is turned off. It would have been advantageous for KitchenAid/Whirlpool to have given some information about this in the user pamphlet. Information about what? The fan's use, and the length of time it remains 'on' after the oven is turned off. I have never had an oven with such a feature, and it was sort of startling to hear this somewhat load fan after the oven's usage.

My first convection oven
khodge 1/29/2019
Bakes much more evenly. The controls take a little getting used to. Preheat seems a little slower that my old oven. Fan is a little loud and runs for a long time to cool oven. I have started leaving my oven open to cool it faster (at least during cool days). 3 shelves are nice and the ceramic stone is a nice bonus. Seems a little deeper and wider inside than my last oven. It was pretty pricey so I hope it lasts a long time.

Very Frustrated with multiple problems with oven
PHehir8 1/20/2019
I bought this oven less than four months ago. Approximately three months after purchase, I used the self-cleaning function. BIG MISTAKE! Oven locked. After waiting for almost two weeks for repair, I was informed that a fuse went out which was common with oven when using self-clean. Repairman also said he would order a new, more powerful, fan for this oven since original cannot handle high heat. After second visit by repairman to put in fuse and fan, oven still did not heat up. Another visit and cause was a second fuse had blown. After fourth repair visit, oven works again. Problem? Yes, because the new fan is loud and operates while oven is on and for 10-20 minutes after oven is turned off. I seriously want a new oven. This one is a "lemon."

No user manual included nor available online
Secret Handshake 8/26/2018
there was no user manual included with this oven and there is no user manual available here on this website.(.ca) or the US website (.com) pressing the "Convect Modes" doesn't do anything nor do the Bake, Broil, and Proof buttons. It just stays on Bake. It is also unclear as to the sequence of buttons to press to turn the oven on and set a temperature. Is it Start, then digits, then Start? or is it digits then Start? or is it some other combo still? Maybe KitchenAid would be so kind as to share the "secret handshake" that is required to use the features of this oven because it is most definitely not obvious. The user interface is horrendous if we need a manual to use it and then kitchenaid doesn't even give you one. total fail.

Looks Nice...But BEWARE
APC1 8/24/2018
My wife and I purchased through a big box store in April. She loved it. It is smaller than our original but she makes it work. We bought matching Fridge and Dishwasher and Induction Stove Top. This August my wife did the self cleaning. The Screen went blank, door locked. Had to call the warranty help desk and waiting 25 minutes for a human to speak. Going to have the repairman come a third time to replace 2 fuses. The warranty people don't even keep the fuses in stock. Right now Regretting this purchase for $2K and you cant even self clean.

Noisy and door not aligned properly
BJGiff 3/13/2018
I regret buying this wall oven. It is very noisy through preheat, cooking and cool down. If I had any idea that it was this noisy I would never have purchased it. The oven cooks well, but I am very unhappy with the purchase. An additional issue is the alignment of the door with the frame. It is not aligned, the space is wider on top than on bottom. I have had service come, they say it cannot be adjusted. And my roasting pan, which I believe is fairly standard, does not fit in the oven straight. I am disappointed with this kitchenaide oven. I spent a substantial amount of money to replace an outdated but quiet functional oven, and I regret my choice.

We purchased our new apppliances a little over a month ago and I am so happy with the oven. It's easy to use and its wonderful to actually have things cook in the time they are supposed to.
